- Before downloading and installing a BlackBerry Theme
Before downloading and installing any blackberry theme onto your BlackBerry smartphone, always verify the version of the Operating System currently installed on your BlackBerry and ensure the theme you are downloading is compatible with your BlackBerry device (Curve, 8800, Pearl, etc.) and Operating System version.
- Where can I Download my Theme after purchase?
You can see your orders and re-download previous purchases either from the download link(s) provided in your confirmation email or by logging into your software account.
If you purchased from a site other than MobiHand.com (ex. Crackberry, eAccess, EverythingQ, etc.) you can either go to their software website to log into your account or use the link below.

Click on the “Forgot Password” link and log in with the password that is sent to you.
- How do I install/activate my new Theme once downloaded?
You should have received an order confirmation email. It is reccomended that you open this email on your BlackBerry device and select the download link from there for the easiest installation (OTA or over the air).
Once installed you just need to activate it. Go to your Applications area by hitting the BlackBerry Key > Then scroll to the Options icon and select it. >Near the bottom you’ll see “Theme”, select it. Now you have a list of your currently installed themes. Simply scroll to your new theme and select it to activate.
Exit out and you should see your new theme is active.
If you do not want to do an OTA install as above then you can download the file to your computer and use Desktop Manager which is a RIM application for your PC that helps you install new apps/themes to your phone when connected via USB as well as some other nice features.
Start by downloading the file in your confirmation email to you PC (Somewhere you kind find it easy like your Desktop.)
Then go to http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/desktop/ and download the latest software version for PC or Mac.
Install Desktop Manager > Connect your Blackberry device to your computer using a free USB port > Wait for your computer to recognise your device >Start Desktop Manager > Click “Application Loader” in Desktop Manager > Under “Add / Remove Applications”, select “Start” > Click the “Browse” button > Browse to your Desktop and select the file you saved earlier > Now in Desktop Manager select the “Next” button > You will see a summary of the changes you are about to make and among them should be the new theme you selected > Select the “Finish” button > Wait until the process if fully complete and you are taken back to the main page of Desktop Manager before you unplug your device.
Your new theme is now installed and all you have to do from here is select and activate it.

- Why can’t I see the Theme in my Theme list?
If the theme does not show up in your themes list at Options > Themes this may be a sign that you’ve installed a theme that is not compatible with your device OS or Model. Upgrading your OS to meet the minimum OS the theme was designed for may solve the problem. You can also try resetting your device, or turning off your device and pulling the battery for a few minutes. Put it back in and see if the theme is now showing.
- Some of my icons have disapeared since installing the new theme. What do I do?
Setting a new theme means that you’re basically resetting your application icons to their default location. You just need to move them back to where you prefer them once again.
I suggest going to the applications area and hitting the BlackBerry button, then scrolling to and selecting “Show All” to make sure none are hidden during your re-customization.
